We have a lot of families with kids at Good Shepherd. We try to focus on making sure that families can participate together, but we have some things just for kids too. We have programs just for grown ups too. If you are looking for confirmation or baptism information, you can find more information on our for you ministries page.
Sunday School
Sunday School starts at 9:15am every Sunday during the school year. Our volunteer Sunday School teachers have years of experience and keep lessons relevant to the age group in the class.
First Friday Fun
The first Friday of every month, we have an evening event for kids elementary aged and younger. Older kids and parents are welcome to come to help out, but many parents use this as a night to go out and enjoy time together.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer, we invite the youth of our community to join us for a week of fun and learning. Vacation Bible School (VBS) is usually held in July. Stay tuned for more information.
Kid’s Choir
Our Kid’s Choir is for anyone still in school. At more than fifteen voices strong, this choir is a great place for every kid to learn to sing in a group. The Kid’s Choir practices during our First Friday Fun, and sometimes briefly after church. We usually sing for worship at least once a month.
Tone Chimes
Our tone chimes group consists of people from their teen-age years all the way, till, well a lot more than that. The tone chimes play periodically at services and rehearse every Wednesday at 6:15pm. You don’t have to be able to read music to play in this group, but it helps.
